The Hockey Museum (THM) is a registered charity (1170979) and as such our existence relies on grants, donations and other contributions from individuals, trusts, foundations and government organisations. THM receives no guaranteed income but it is grateful to receive a small annual donation from England Hockey and from the International Hockey Federation Foundation (FIHF). Woking Borough Council also supports THM through the provision of accommodation for the Museum and its collections.
THM will gratefully accept donations of any size, big or small. Every contribution we receive will help to support our future development. Your generosity will enable us to continue our work to preserve the history and heritage of the sport of hockey: giving hockey’s history a future! It will enable us to use the appeal of hockey to engage, inspire and educate our visitors and the communities reached by our endeavours.

How Will Your Support Make A Difference?
From humble beginnings in 2012, we are are on the verge of obtaining formal museum Accreditation from the Arts Council this year. In 2020 THM is planning to move into much larger premises (owned by Woking Borough Council and leased to us) but we need your support to turn this wonderful opportunity into a world-class museum for hockey.
We have ambitious plans but without your support we cannot deliver these. Potential future projects include:
- The design and delivery of a superb new exhibition space;
- The design and delivery of a new library and reading room;
- The continued preservation and conservation of the Museum’s collections;
- The realisation of a curriculum-focused education programme for school children;
- The design and delivery of a dedicated education space for school groups and hockey clubs;
- Increased accessibility to the Museum’s collections through digitisation projects;
- The continuation of oral history interviews with members of the hockey family across all levels of the sport;
- Continued research into the history of hockey; and
- The continued employment of professional staff for the Museum.
We need your help to make all this happen.
Please support us on this exciting journey.
